Autism Expo
The Autism Expo is the first exhibition held not only in Korea but also in Asia to present solutions to address the challenges we are facing now and a roadmap for the future by providing a variety of information, counseling, products and services needed for ASD(Autism Spectrum Disorder) and developmental delay.
With Autism School and Autism Art Festival, we also have prepared various sessions to discuss current research trends, information on treatment and successful cases, and a venue for autistic artists to present their works and bring shifts in perspective on ASD of the society.
Why We Need the Event
-
01Strong Needs about autismAccording to the 2018 CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) report, the prevalence of ASD was 1 per 59, which was up from 1 per 68 compared to two years ago, and is continuing to rise.
-
02Special needs about autismAutistic people and the families often face difficulties while obtaining necessary information as social awareness and infrastructure for ASD are inadequate for the increasing number of people with ASD. Organizations and academia in the field are creating and providing services, but such services are in a small scale and are not always available.
-
03Substantial needs about autismThere is a great need for a window for sharing information on ASD. The Autism Expo was thereby organized to provide a substantial pool of information on related services as well as a roadmap for the challenges we face and the future ahead.
